The Center for Materials Innovation (CMI) at Washington University in St. Louis is a community of scholars assembled to conduct educational and research activities focused on the creation, study and use of materials.  With a goal to bring synergy to materials-driven research programs and promote interdisciplinary interactions at Washington University.  CMI aims to enhance the intellectual opportunities and research options for undergraduate and graduate students and foster and enhance interactions between Arts & Sciences, the School of Engineering & Applied Science and the Medical School at Washington University.
